The River speaks Creole

This short film results from an encounter with the Lézarde River in Guadeloupe. Through immersion, dance, and audiovisual recording, the project approaches the river as a living milieu : living presence, multispecies environment and repository of histories.

Rather than isolating a single explanatory lens to read and interpret it, the project explores the overlapping narratives that circulate  from it : colonial histories, scientific knowledge, tourism imaginaries, and intimate affects.

The film continues to asks what forms of dialogue remain possible when relations to place are shaped by the erosion of understanding ?

Emergence, Knowledge, and Multispecies Encounters at Charlottendals

How do forms of collective life emerge in a landscape where human, ecological, and more-than-human actors coexist under distributed knowledge, private ownership, and historically unstructured community relations?

This project investigates through community immersion, facilitation and subjective mapping the entanglement of parallel inhabitations in Charlottendals, a Swedish ecovillage in Järna.
